About

The treehouse is located on a private 13-acre property, sitting on top of a small hill, with no visible neighbors in sight. We have multiple trails that are great for walking,  snowshoeing and sliding (weather permitting). Guests have full access to the surrounding property during their stay. We are located approximately 15 mins from North Bay and 7 mins from Callander, where you can easily access Lake Nipissing and 7 mins from Lake Nosbonsing.   Public snowmobile trails, a local convenience store, and LCBO are also located just a short 3-minute drive away.

Guests will park in the designated parking space at the main house. A short 5 minute walk up across the main house yard and up a small hill will take you to our little gem. We ensure that the trails are groomed throughout the seasons, however if needed, arrangements can be made for your belongings to be transported to the treehouse.

On the upper level, you'll find a cozy open concept 110 square foot space, equipped with a combined main living/sleeping room, small coffee bar area, and two small loft spaces. The treehouse sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children comfortably.

The living/sleeping area consist of two single sized beds in the loft spaces and a futon that folds out easily into a cozy double bed. An electric panel heater is the main source of heat, which keeps the small space nice and toasty.

The coffee bar is equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and an assortment of coffees, teas and hot chocolate.

In the lower level, you will find a small kitchen area equipped with a kettle, toaster, coffee press, and electric hot plate. There is a small refrigerator however we encourage you to bring a cooler if you're staying for a prolonged period of time. There is also a small barbecue located on the lower treehouse deck for your cooking needs. The kitchen is equipped with a bottled potable water system connected to a small tap. This water can also be used for cooking. We also provide an extra large jug of water for drinking if needed. We provide cookware, plates, cups, bowls, and utensils. Linens will be provided for all the beds but feel free to bring an extra sleeping bag or two if you’re planning on staying on a very cold night. The lower level is heated using a propane heater (please do not turn off this heater).

The lower level also has has a small bathroom equipped with composting toilet, seasonal shower (March-October) and small sink with bottled water system (no running water).

Due to limited electricity at the treehouse, we encourage guests to only use one appliance at a time when possible (ie. turn off the electric heater upstairs when using the toaster or kettle).

A brand-new detached outhouse just a few steps away from the treehouse will also accommodate your toileting needs. We encourage guests to use the outhouse as much as possible.

The treehouse has multiple windows that provide beautiful views of the surrounding forest. For entertainment, a TV as well as a DVD player with a varied selection of DVDs is provided. Unfortunately, there is no WIFI at the treehouse but I promise you'll find a better connection.

There is a beautiful private firepit area just a few steps away from the treehouse as well as a larger firepit further up the trail, where you can enjoy a nice bonfire surrounded by nature.

Come enjoy our cozy treehouse retreat in Northern Ontario.
